European Plastics Converters (EuPC) and FoodDrinkEurope invite you to a joint seminar on how to ensure the sustainability of food contact plastic materials and articles, whilst maintaining their safety for consumers. This seminar will identify the key challenges and opportunities for the food and drink industry, such as how it can contribute to the EU sustainability objectives and meet their legal obligations in terms of consumer safety. Join the discussion together with the European Commission, plastic packaging manufacturers, food and drink producers, research institutions and other stakeholders on 23-24 April 2020, in Brussels.

Jorge Álava, Corporate Regulatory & Scientific Affair Manager, Nestlé

Global Regulatory topic manager for Food Contact Materials and Environmental claims related to climate change. Managing as well, at global level, other activities related to Innovation and Compliance.

Arno Mooren, Regulatory Affairs Manager, Foods Europe, Unilever

Biotechnologist by training, he previously worked with genetic tools on enzymes used in food and detergent applications and on baker’s yeast. His tasks covered many aspects of product development, mainly for soups, sauces and condiments, both for Retail and for Food service channels. For the last 5 years, his responsibility has been within Regulatory Affairs, overseeing the aspects that affect the European Foods portfolio of Unilever.
